ENTRÉE

Reök Palace – Szeged

13 July 2018 – 05 September 2018

Entrée presented Tamás Náray’s newest artworks under the title Golden Age within the frames of an oeuvre exhibition including 15 years’ work. The gold plating technique and colours enhanced with vibrant pigments created giant energy fields, moving them with sophisticated elegance. Red Doors theme reveals our buried secrets and restrained desires clashing with existential philosophy. The exhibition guides us through the personal and artistic evolution from On The Road’s series that reminds us to impressionist painting and Reflections theme’s abstract subgeometric representation to today’s gold plating’s splendour.

ANTIQUE

Dr. Rose Private Hospital

20 November 2017 – 15 January 2018

Pictures of exhibition Antique go back to ancient times in their interpretation. They recall long-lost, exotic cultures’ visual atmosphere and their typical lines, at times with figurative illustration (Ikaros, Hidden route, Tibetan goldfish). We can discover sacrality in powerful black, white and red combinations (The gral, The cup) and it demonstrates the topic’s feminine principle in a nearly naturalistic way. Dr. Rose Private Hospital is a maecenas of contemporary fine arts, and as a result, its elegant spaces give place for various fine art exhibitions every year.

ART SOIRÈE

Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest

24 May 2017 – 25 June 2017

Kempinski Hotels, as a maecenas of modern arts, popularizes contemporary fine art from time to time. In those capital cities where Kempinski Hotels appear, they muster up every year’s most successful artists, just like in Budapest. Within the confines of this practice, an exclusive selection was presented from the previous exhibitions of Tamás Náray. In the blurb of the exhibition we could read the thoughts of Krisztina Jerger art historian: “Tamás Náray is a genuine colorist! A vibrant personality, his paintings glow in harmonic compositions and delicate colour cavalcade. Colours put onto each other sometimes reveal, sometimes cover one another, presenting mystery, structures evolving from the depth, dynamic abstraction or smooth geometric figures in front of the visitors’ eyes.”

ICON

Castle Garden Bazaar

13 April 2017 – 15 May 2017

Magda Szabó is undeniably one of the most popular Hungarian writers, her novels and poems had been translated in several languages worldwide. She was literally an icon, in its best way: with her charisma, her works and her intellect as well. Her novel, The door deserved a place amongst the international classical literature’s top pieces. Different movie adaptations were born of it, one of them was made with Helen Mirren as protagonist. For the centenary of her birthday I saluted her memory and oeuvre with an exhibition. I got inspired by my favorite novels from her, putting these stories and impressions turned into abstractions on the canvas. The pieces of the exhibition were also presented in other events with great success, the whole series found its final places at renowned international and private collections.

KORIDOR

Stanton Chase, Dorottya Palace Budapest

15 November 2016 – 31 December 2016

The exhibition titled Koridor we organized in parallel and labyrinth-like corridors and aisles, worthy of its name. It demonstrated the road to the art of painting. In the introduction we presented a retrospective material from the early 2000’s to 2010. From the abstract geometric school (Vertical trilogy) visitors can get to the latest years’ lyric expressionist pieces (Love). Besides pulsating colours there appear low-key, opalescent combinations in a fairytale-like world with delicate energies and gentle vibration (Finding Nemo, The bridge).
